ASUS recently released a desktop version of the popular Eee PC, hailed as “The Ultimate Space-saving, Power Efficient Computing Solution”.
The aptly named Eee Box weighs in at under a kilo and features Intel’s Atom processor and 945 chipset, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, an 80GB hard-drive and a Window OS, making this slim-lined computer very similar, if not exactly the same as the Eee PC in a desktop.
Slim as paperback novel and just 1 liter in total size, the ASUS Eee Box is perfect solution for saving space.

The ASUS thermal solution heat dissipating module with the AI fan allows the machine to run extremely quietly (26bd). It’s also highly economical, reducing power consumption by up to 90% compared with full-size desktop machines.
Using the exclusive ASUS Express Gate, users can boot the machine and access the Internet, manage pictures, or communicate over IM/Skype in just 7 seconds.
Eee Box support the latest WiFi 802.11n technology, enabling data transfers up to eight times faster than previous 802.11b/g wireless connections.
The Eee Box also comes complete with an IPTV player, making it great machine to watch and personalize your Internet TV experience right out-of-the-box.
Although this model is considerably less powerful than conventional desktop machines, there are some great benefits for those looking for a simple, space saving PC.
