ASUS has unveiled its highly-anticipated tablet PC and smartphone combination, the Padfone. Announced by ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih, during the company’s presentation at Computex, Taipei, Taiwan, May 30th, the Padfone is exactly what the name suggests; a stylish smartphone that docks into a larger tablet PC for seemless switching between screen sizes and data.

“[It] allows consumers to choose the screen size that best fits their activities while seamlessly sharing data and 3G internet access.”
The mock version demoed by ASUS featured an 4.3 inch Android smartphone, and a 10.1 inch tablet PC dock, however the company did say that these may not be the final dimensions.
