DIY Wi-Fi Radio
Build a DIY Wi-Fi Radio for less than 50 bucks…
Slingbox and Logitech’s Squeezebox media players do a great job of wirelessly connecting your media, and streaming it to smartphones or other media players. But if you don’t have a few hundred dollars to lay down on some new toys, but you’ve got some old technology gathering dust, you can rig yourself up a DIY Wi-Fi radio router with little more than an Asus router and USB sound card.
Given, not everyone will have the necessary hardware to repurpose, if that’s the case, it shouldn’t cost more than $50 to buy what you need.
As long as you’re tech savvy, don’t be daunted by the many steps it takes to complete the process, it shouldn’t be too difficult a hack.
If you’re using Windows, just follow the steps in the video carefully. If you’re looking to implement this hack using a different OS, you can find more details over at MightyOhm.com.
