GloveOne Telephone
A 3D printed phone glove that allows you to talk to the hand…
The GloveOne is a crazy idea that wants to transform the way we use our telephones. The telephone ‘glove’ – yes that’s right – is a glove designed not to keep your hands warm but to connect with the world, and it can be made with a 3D printer.
The GolveOne was developed by Milwaukee-based designer, Bryan Cera, as part of a MA thesis.

The number buttons are located on the fingers and the speaker and mic are placed so the user must talk whilst doing the international symbol for ‘call me’. And although it’s made out of several interconnecting parts, the GloveOne casing can be printed out with a 3D printer.
No word of whether the concept will ever migrate to a marketable product, the placement of the buttons and the wrapping finger joints could make the device more awkward rather than practical. Nevertheless, it’s this type of out-of-the-box thinking that helps push boundaries, to inspire the development of completely new interfaces, could you imagine a world without the mouse, trackpad and touch-screens?
