It seems this software is extremely useful in keeping programs discrete for deletion.
However, can a program installed in one layer communicate with another layer, and how does layering prevent programs in a layer from messing with or altering system info, or even, getting personal information and sending it online?

Lizz, you're no geek but even not running any keygen, just browsing with AVG as your antivirus can infect your pc. AVG became bloatware and cannot even stop usb infected autorun. We've been a pro user of avg, but shift to other products. Better use avast, nod or kav.

Well mate, I am no geek, but I confess to trying a keygen once, and my system was not performing well after, especially that AVG kept detecting the keygen after an AVG update, but before the update, AVG couldn't detect keygen as virus, so I used it!

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I will stick to trialware for testing before buying!

Its not a scare tactic. No where in the article did we say that you should not use keygens (even though they are technically copyright infringement) or that all keygens contain malicious software.

However, it is a fact that .EXE files can easily include malicious software even though you think you are just running a simple hack program. Nothing in life is FREE, so when you are downloading fake software, movies and games - you just should be careful.

It is easy to prevent your computer to be infected using a Sandboxie program, but easy to get infected when users are naive to think that people are nice and would never want to spread malicious software or scripts inside a hack.

hi. cool little video but about the "malicious keygens". i took a peek into what a keygen.exe did and all those .dll files that it "created" didnt really create the files. just opened them because they needed to use those files to be able to run. not quite the same as totally hijacking your computer. not to say that there are keygens that do intall malicious software on your computer but these scare-tactics seem unnecessary. please correct me if im wrong but it seemed that keygen.exe just accesed the files to be able to be run.
