Military Never Flat Non Pneumatic Tire
Non-Pneumatic Tire stands up to bullets, shrapnel and rough terrain...
After 6 years of research and development the U.S. Army and Wisconsin-based contractors Resilient Technologies plan to release their new ‘never-flat’ Non-Pneumatic Tire (NPT) – a wheel with a unique honeycomb tire design that cannot be punctured.
The NPT, originally designed for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee), is currently being tested in the lab and in the field. The tire is set to go on sale some time later this year, and will also be available on the commercial market.
The never-flat technology plans to save lives on the battlefield by making Humvee less susceptible to damage during an ambush.

Until these bad boys become available on the market, you might want to check out some that are available commercially. They are expensive, but they might pay off in the long run. Marathon flat free tires “Will Keep You Rolling“. Bridgestone has a model soon to be released as well.
