Sony’s new handheld gaming console, the PSP Vita, is officially unveild at E3 in Los Angeles…
Sony’s highly anticipated next-gen portable gaming console, the PSP Vita, is coming this year. Previously known as the NGP, the new handheld console has now been given a name and an official unveiling at the recent E3 conference, Los Angeles, June 7-9th, 2011.
Before running through the company’s upcoming products, Jack Tretton, head of Sony’s US gaming division, first apologized to the 77 million users whose accounts were compromised when hackers gained access to the PlayStation Network, adding that network activity had increased to 90% since resulting outage.

A new seamless gaming feature allows users to switch between the PS3 and the PSP Vita, picking up the game exactly where you left off. Of course, connectivity allows for all the social gaming capabilities of the PSP, with more to boot.
Several games are being readied for release alongside the PSP Vita, these titles include:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Super Star Dust Delta
Yoshinori Ono of Capcom, also demoed Street Fighter X Tekken.
The PSP Vita will launch in the US, Europe and Japan by the end of the year. The wi-fi only version will retail at $249.99, 3G enabled version will be a little more expensive at $299.99.
