Sony's new PlayStation Portable – The PSP Go...

First announced at the July E3 Expo, Sony’s new PSP Go is scheduled for release this fall. Featuring a 3.8 inch LCD, Bluetooth and 16GB of internal storage, the new PSP Go is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the original PSP-1000.

“Introducing the smallest and mightiest PSP® system yet. Download rich, immersive digital gaming or the best movies and TV shows saved directly to the ample 16GB hard drive. Browse the incredibly deep lineup of PSP gaming and movie content on the PlayStation® Network. Use built-in Bluetooth support to connect a wireless headset and utilize Skype to talk with friends. But best of all, show off your content via the ultra-crisp 3.8 inch LCD screen on the most portable PSP system yet.”

One thing you’ll immediately notice is the lack of the UMD drive, games can be loaded through the Memory Stick Micro slot or over the PlayStation Network.

Sony promise the PSP Go will not kill-off the PSP, new PSP games will be distributed through both UMD at retail and online.
