Holographs are about to get more real....
Over the past couple of years, several ground breaking holographic technologies have emerged on the market, but none can compare with the new touchable holographic system developed by researchers at the University of Tokyo.
The new system utilizes a technique known as Airborne Ultrasound Tactile Display. In their prototype the team used two Nintendo Wiimotes to track hand movements, and ultrasound the project the ‘sense of touch’.
